Plein Air en Gouache with Douglas Kiersop

Suitable for complete beginners to advanced artists.

We provide the paint, paper and basic brushes.  You bring a pencil, art journal/notebook,  water (to drink and paint with), chair, hat, sunscreen and food.

Karol Oakley Pastel Workshop

July 13 & 14, 8:30-4pm Saturday and Sunday.

Weather permitting we will do some out door painting.  We will take a 3/4 hour lunch break and 20 mins morning tea break.

Karol Oakley is know best for her paintings of the movement of water and its effect on the surrounding landscape.  More information will be posted soon and in the meantime visit Karol's website is EFT Payment info available at the bottom of this page.


Acrylic Landscape Group

Tuesdays,  6 to 8 pm

Learn traditional landscape techniques in acrylic guided by Beverly Leonard.  Free for HARTZ members and $10/session for non-members. We meet in the HARTZ studio.  Come when you can.

Bring your own materials.  If you don't have any, don't worry. We have canvas for sale starting at $10/canvas and paint and brushes to lend till you learn what to buy.

This group is for complete beginners to advanced artists.  Children welcome if a parent attends and works on their own canvas.

Wednesday Night Open Studio: 6 to 8pm

Come and share our creative space where you can meet like-minded people in a relaxed social atmosphere and work on your art/craft projects or learn a new skill. This is your opportunity to dedicate time for you and your art. Bring a project and the necessary materials or just come for inspiration. We have limited art supplies but we can probably find something that will excite you!

Come when you want, work on what you like. Sometimes we have a planned activity.  Participate if you like or do your own thing!

Cost is free for HARTZ Members. $5 for non-members however you can attend your first 3 open studios for free.

We meet in the shed behind the 2 roller doors.  Walk up the driveway, go down the short path left of the shed and there is a door to the right.
